IS IT MADE IN A REAL TUNA CAN?
Our artisan bees have sourced real tuna cans, and every can is hand-drilled right here in our hive. Don’t worry—no fish has ever been in these cans, and yes, the pedal is 100% vegan!
Is the TUNA TREM analog or digital?
The TUNA TREM is 100% analog in its signal path. Your sound always stays analog, while digital controls open up a whole world of possibilities, giving you a wide variety of tremolo sounds and rhythmic patterns without ever converting your signal to digital.
How do I adjust the depth?
Each species comes preset from the factory, but you can adjust the depth to your liking.
To do so, hold the footswitch and turn the SPEED knob. This acts as an alternate control, letting you dial in the depth of your tremolo.
The best part? Each species saves its own depth setting automatically. Once you adjust it, that setting stays saved for that species until you change it again.
Why am I not hearing anything on SPECIES 8 and 9?
SPECIES 8 and 9 require you to interact with the footswitch to hear them in action.
SPECIES 8 - SWELLER BEE: The signal starts completely muted. Hold the footswitch to trigger the volume swell.
SPECIES 9 - MORSE BEE: The pedal stays on all the time, but holding the footswitch mutes the signal. Let go, and your sound comes right back.
Where should I place the TUNA TREM in my signal chain?
The TUNA TREM works great at either the beginning or the end of your signal chain. It just depends on the kind of effect you're after.
Before your drive pedals: The tremolo and volume swells affect how your overdrive and fuzz pedals react, creating a more dynamic, interactive sound.
After your drive pedals: The tremolo chops up your already-distorted signal, giving you a more defined, rhythmic effect.
No wrong answers here. Try both and see what buzzes.
What's the current draw?
The TUNA TREM draws 50mA and uses a center-negative power supply. Any standard pedal power supply with the correct voltage, polarity, and a minimum current capacity of 50mA should do the trick.
